When should I start planning my vacation?
The sooner, the better. Many popular resorts, cruises, and tours begin filling up months in advance.
As a general guideline:
- Cruises: 9 to 12 months in advance
- Europe, Alaska, and Hawaii: 6 to 12 months in advance
- Holiday travel: 9 to 12 months in advance
- All-inclusive resorts: 6 to 9 months in advance

How do I get started planning my vacation?
Getting started is easy. Complete our complimentary Travel Inquiry Form and share as much as you know about your trip, including your destination ideas, travel dates, budget, who's traveling, and the type of vacation you're hoping for.

Can you help if I have booked part of my trip?
Often, yes. Depending on what you've already reserved, we may be able to assist with hotels, excursions, transfers, travel protection, or other parts of your itinerary.

Can you accommodate special requests?
Absolutely. Whether you need accessible accommodations, connecting rooms, gluten-free dining options, celebration surprises, mobility assistance, or other special requests, we'll work closely with our travel partners to make every reasonable accommodation possible.
Can I make changes to my reservation after booking?
In many cases, yes. Changes such as adding travelers, adjusting dates, upgrading rooms, or modifying flights may be possible, depending on the travel supplier's policies and availability. Some changes may involve additional fees or fare differences.

How do I know my vacation is secure when booking with Daigle Travel?
Your vacation payments are made directly to the travel supplier, such as the cruise line, resort, or tour operator, not to Daigle Travel.
We facilitate your reservations using secure supplier systems, and you'll receive confirmation directly from the supplier. Throughout the process, we're here to manage the details and advocate for you every step of the way.

Why does Daigle Travel charge a planning fee?
Every vacation we plan is thoughtfully customized to you. Our planning fee allows us to dedicate the time, research, expertise, and personalized attention needed to design a vacation that fits your travel style, preferences, and goals.
From researching destinations and matching you with the right accommodations to coordinating the details and providing support before, during, and after your trip, we're committed to making your travel experience as seamless and stress-free as possible.
Because no two travelers are alike, every itinerary is carefully crafted with your unique needs in mind. The planning fee ensures we can provide the high level of service, attention to detail, and personalized care that every Daigle Travel client deserves.
Do I have to pay for my vacation in full when I book?
Usually not. Most vacations require a deposit to secure your reservation, with the final balance due closer to your departure date. Payment schedules vary by supplier, and we'll clearly explain your payment schedule before you book.
Before You Travel
Do I need Travel Insurance?
While travel insurance isn't required for most trips, we strongly recommend it.
Unexpected illnesses, severe weather, flight disruptions, lost luggage, and other unforeseen events can happen. Travel protection can help protect your vacation investment and may provide coverage for eligible cancellations, delays, medical emergencies, and other covered situations.
We'll explain your options so you can choose the coverage that best fits your trip and your comfort level.
Do I need a passport?
If you're traveling internationally, yes.
We recommend obtaining a passport book rather than a passport card, as it offers greater flexibility for international travel. Before you travel, check your passport's expiration date. Many countries require at least six months of validity beyond your return date.
Some closed-loop cruises allow U.S. citizens to travel with other approved documents, but we still recommend that every traveler have a valid passport whenever possible.
For domestic U.S. travel, you'll need a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or another TSA-approved form of identification. If your destination requires a visa or additional travel documents, we'll let you know during the planning process.

What happens if something goes wrong while I am traveling?
Travel doesn't always go exactly as planned, but you won't have to navigate it alone.
If unexpected issues arise, we'll work alongside your travel suppliers to help resolve problems, answer questions, and provide guidance whenever possible. Having someone in your corner can make all the difference when the unexpected happens.
